Multiple Fun

Alec has captured what I feel like sometimes.  They are just all over the place!  ;)  Ha!  Alec did all the positioning and photos for himself and his brothers.  I helped him do Micah and Brady's final and he did Skyler and himself.

Catamaran

Remember our friend Dan?  He was the master mind behind our beautiful new stairwell.  Well, we were so lucky to spend an evening on a Catamaran that he was preparing to sail.  I was a bit nervous with getting sea sick, but the boys were so excited.  We met Dan at the marina and we all piled into his dingy.  That was a bit nerve racking having all 8 of us on a dingy.  It was touchy getting in and out but once we were there it was beautiful.  There were a few other people there too.  Here are some pictures of the boys on the Catamaran.

Sledding....Island style

Who said you can't sled in the tropics?  Leave it up to my boys to find a way.  The boys just had a week off for their end of quarter break.  They didn't do much but sit at home though they managed to enjoy their time off.  One day while up at my parent's house they had fun taking turns sliding down the hill on an old box.  

 Wheee!

Well, at least they started off taking turns and then....

 it was all at once.  

Now doesn't that look like fun.  Well, fun for Micah and Skyler...poor Brady was on the bottom of this pile up.  ;)

Swimming

Swimming lessons have started!  Check out my little swimmers.  

Pine Wood Derby

Micah's Cub Scout Den held their annual Pine Wood Derby race last week.  It was help at our chapel and decorated nicely for the event.  So many cub scouts and their families came.

Of course the work started weeks before with Micah and his Dad (and Mom) helping him design, cut shape, sand and paint.  Micah did a really nice job and knew just what he wanted.  His ended up being a blue sports car type with a red stripe.    

Come race day, Den leader Bro. Porter (seen in the picture), Bro. Ilaoa and Bro. Haretuku set up the races.  It was great because the boys each got to race four times in their heat.  And then there was a run off for first and second.  

And they're off!

  The bystanders watched with anticipation.  Take a look at Micah crossing his fingers to win.

Can you tell how Micah did?  He was so surprised and excited to have won first place overall!  

 ....and so were his brothers!

What was funny was the leaders did cars too and the raced against Micah!  They later said they put him on the slower track and away they went.  Here is Bro. Haretuku's face when Micah's car smoked them!  

 And here are Micah's friends excited that he beat the leaders too.

 It was a really nice evening and the boys had a nice time.  My hats go off to the den leaders and organizers.  Congratulations Micah!

Micah's Day

Micah celebrated his 10th birthday on September 27th.  He started off his day with breakfast in bed enjoying... chocolate chip pancakes with strawberries and whip cream!  Yum!  Love that bed head!  

Later on that day he got to open presents from family and he loved them all!

Since his birthday was on Thursday and he had soccer practice we opted to have his friends come over Friday after school for a little pool party.  They had hot dogs and hamburgers and much more.

Everyone enjoyed swimming around and soaking everyone and everything.  With swimming and games and eating, I believe everyone had a great time.  Especially the birthday boy!
