Family Pictures 2012

It has become a tradition for our family that every year we allow some time to take family pictures for our Christmas cards.  I am not a professional photographer by any means but we do our best.  Armed with a tripod and a camera and the intension on taking hundred of pictures we set to work.  Here are some of the shots we got this year.

Walking down to Grandma's house we go!   We decided to change our usual background and try out  Grandma's yard this year.

Can you tell the boys were just so still?  Half the time we are gathering kids with ant in their pants back up.  ;)

So here is our official family picture for 2012.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was a quiet one.  Everyone who is usually here for Thanksgiving wasn't.  We ended up having Thanksgiving with our little family and Uncle William.  Oh, and I was smart this year.  Check it out...

I got the boys to peel potatoes!  Luckily we didn't have any extra flavoring from cut fingers.  ;)

Look what else they helped me with.  I got them to do the rolls too!

Everything was delicious and we enjoyed having Uncle William over.  We were so thankful to be able to have someone else to celebrate with and I was thankful to my little helpers.  Things may be different these days but we are so grateful for the blessings we have.  We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving 2012!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Cruise Visitors

Friday November 9, 2012 we had some visitors come on a cruise ship to American Samoa.  Friends from our old ward in Hawaii Kai.  There were 15 all together.  The Fong Gang (6), The Lau Family (4), The Takane's (2), Sis. Wong and Friends (3).  We met up in town, loaded up into three vans (myself, Jason and Lana driving) and off we went.  First stop to the ridge above Aua.  You can make out their cruise ship in the background.

At the hotel with our beautiful servers and delicious food.  Thanks so much to Aunty Cathie and Aunty Rola for getting things set up and going at the Tradewinds Hotel.
 Smile Issac!

Grandpa and Grandma Fong with Brother and Sister Fong.
 Jason and Tammy visiting.
Brother Takane loved the Palusami on his Diamond head crackers.
The whole gang...
minus Vili and Riley.  Riley fell asleep in the car on the way to the hotel.  Vili stayed with him so he could sleep.  Vili was a life saver.  She helped me so much getting things pulled together.  Specialt thanks to Vili, Jeremiah (he grated a lot of coconuts for the pe'e pe'e), Sa (delicious puligi), Aunty Cathie (so saved me on a venue and set up...thank you thank you!) and Aunty Carola (always there to help set up and help with the little things...it all adds up).  Oh, I can't forget Lana Goodwin!  She was my 3rd tour guide.  We wouldn't have been able to get anywhere with out her!

It was such a wonderful day with them.  I am so pleased that we were able to spend so much time with them and I hope they enjoyed themselves as much as I did.

It's so hard to be 5

Well, 5 didn't start out too bad for Skyler.  I have to tell you a little story about my Skyler.  So I was driving with Skyler one day a few weeks back and he said, "Mom, I don't like being called Skyler."  I said, "What do you mean?  What do you want to be called?"  He said, "I want my name to be Sky Dog."

So Sky Dog woke up Monday to a beautiful birthday serenade (yea, we should take our act on the road) and our tradition....Breakfast in Bed.
He also got to decorate the cup cakes he took to school to celebrate with his friends.

I promise he did get dressed during the day.  ;)  He had a low key birthday because Sky Dog just wasn't feeling good.  He was okay enough to smile and blowout some candles.  Yep, Skyler never was one to pass up sweets.

Candles, cakes, and presents.  Happy Birthday  Sky Dog!

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!  Halloween day the boys got to dress up for class and there they had class parties.  I sent on treats with them to class.  That is a lot of treats.  Thanks to my friend Christine who sent me great Halloween goodies bags and to my Mom for sending darling stuffed Halloween dolls... the treat were a success.  You know I sent off 65 treats that day?  That is a lot of treats.

Anyway, here are some pictures of the boys before school.
Now this was actually Skyler's 5th costume of the morning.  And Alec said he was a Black-Eyed Pea Cereal Killer.  Alec won Scariest costume at his school.

After school the boys came home with their loot and started to get ready for the next event.  We went to another school's Halloween party.  Yes, we were invited.  Skyler changed his costume and so did Brady.  It was nice and low key.  They had some games and then ended with trunk or treat.  The boys got a lot of candy and Alec won an entire chocolate cake for winning scariest costume....again!
 Zombie
 Cereal Killer
 Phantom
Superman with his friend the fire fighter.

Can you believe I didn't get a picture of Skyler in his 7th costume of the day?  He was a pirate and I blame the candy for not getting a picture.  I just couldn't catch him since he was WIRED on candy.

All in all, it was a hauntingly fun Halloween.
