Underwater

Swimming and playing with the underwater camera. The boys were all trying to do different tricks for the camera.  I have a bunch of hams.

Skyler has been improving a lot with his swimming.   It is so wonderful to see him go and so excited to swim.

Alec is twisting and turning doing somersaults underwater.

Brady is all thumbs.  Great job Brady!
Go Micah go!

 Fun days.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Well, I felt bad on Valentine's Day for not doing anything for my boys and their classes but I just got so tied up with work.  That and it is getting harder with three in elementary.  That's 50 treats!  My Mom made me feel better with the idea I do something another time.  Another time like St. Patrick's Day!  She told me about these cupcakes that are multilayer and even sent me the food coloring and stickers for it.
Now I did mess up a little.  The center of the cupcake is suppose to be lighter green but I guess I added too much food coloring on this batch.  The others had a more defined three layer look.
So Micah, Brady, and Skyler all decorated their class cupcakes and topped it with the cupcake toppers I made out of the sticker my Mom sent.  They all turned out beautiful and the boys enjoyed decorating them.

For those interested in the recipe it is on AllRecipes.com.  Sweetheart Cupcakes  http://allrecipes.com/recipe/sweetheart-cupcakes/.  Fun stuff.  Thanks Mom for the great idea and for sending me the tools to make them!  Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Swim Stunt Men

Brady has this favorite shirt of mine that say, "I do all my own stunts."  That is a perfect description of Brady.  This day at the pool the boys were having fun doing stunts into the pool.

Introducing..................... the Corry Stunt Men.

ROUDY RILEY
Riley's stunt was to walk around the pool.  New to taking steps, each one was wobbly and a bit scary with Skyler running all around him.  Then he tried to take on stairs.  How is that for Roudy?

Sky-High Skyler
Skyler's stunt was a high flying karate kick jump.  Look at his determination to get some air.

Bad Boy Brady
Round and round we go.  With a leap and a twist Brady tries for a 360 jump.
Mad-Dog Micah
Here Micah goes for a handstand.....oh wait.... he's going for a flip!
He almost makes it all the way around.

Air-Time Alec
Standing on the edge, Alec launches himself around for a nice cannon ball jump.  10 points!

Yet another fun day at the pool.  What a great way for my stunt men to do their stunts.

A Walker

Take a look at our little walker!  Riley took some of his first steps today walking between Mom and Dad and then between his brothers.  Everyone was so excited.

National History Day

Alec and his friend were sent by their school to the Island-wide History Day competition.  They had written a script about the Apollo 11 landing on the moon where the crew was interviewed by a reporter.  Don't you just love the props?  It was pretty funny and a neat experience for them to go and see other school performances.

Slip Sliding Away

It was a beautiful day and it had been a while since we have used our water slide.  So, we broke the water slide out of the box and set it up for the boys.  The boys had so much fun.
Take a look at a few pictures.

Wheee!  Can you slide like me?

Skyler caught some air on this one.

 Micah flies down the slide.

Riley wasn't so sure about sliding so Jason held onto his hand as he gave it a try.

Alec was going so fast he slid right off the slide and kept on going.

Riley's Birthday

Happy 1st Birthday Riley Owen!
I can't believe it has been a year already!  Riley seems to be so young still.  I think that is because he doesn't have much hair!   Riley has been a blessing to our family.  His older brothers just love him (sometimes a little too much) and he brightens my day with his smile.  He is such a fun little boy.
We had a little celebration for this little boy.  It was just us and the boys and one of the things we did with him was bubbles.  I truly believe this was the first time he had ever experienced bubbles.  He was just looking at them not sure what to make of them.

Food, of course, was on the menu.  Riley chowed down on some chicken nuggets and steamed carrots. Then for the best part of a birthday.............CAKE!
The boys wanted to more than just one candle on but then I was scared to have Riley sit down in front of it.  Then he just wasn't sure what everyone was doing when it came time to blow the candles out.
He knew exactly what to do next though!  The ice cream was the first to go!
The cake was not far behind.  That boy finished the entire thing!
After a little bath he opened a couple presents.  He liked the Thomas the Train pillow from Grammy and Grandpa.  It was a nice day to turn one!  Happy Birthday Riley!
