Boys will be Boys

Don't you love that saying?  It pretty much gives a pass to all the boys in the world.  A pass to play under refreshment tables at the chapel.....but.... boys will be boys.

Can't help but play peek-a-boo at the chapel either because boys will be boys.

Green eggs and Blue bananas?  These boys bring color to everything.

Running around and getting all sweaty is what these boys are pro at.  Even after a nice bath they can't help but run, run, run, until they are all sweaty again but..... boys will be boys.

Boys always have stuff on their faces.  They love to make sure they get a mustache from their drinks.  Sometime dipping their lips in so far they get it on their noses too.  Brady has this one almost perfect from drinking Dad's "green stuff".   Boys will be boys.

Of course boys ride their bikes inside the house cause boys will be boys. :)

Playing keep away is the ultimate game of my boys.  It is running and rough housing and laughing all at once allows boys to be boys.

Boys will be boys huh?   Hmmm..... and I wonder where they get it from.

Gotta love these boys!

Some Days

Some days are just like that.  It is hard to leave for work when Riley looks like this.

Those days just break my heart but most days we are able to distract  Riley.  We tell him... "See how much fun this is going to be.  This is much better than going to work with Mom."  Look like fun to me!  The wheelbarrow has been a pretty good way to get him satisfied enough to watch me drive away.

Spring Break

This week was Spring Break for the kids.  Don't you just love Spring Break?  Problem is we don't get to have Spring Break at work.  ;)  Even though I had to work we did get a couple fun days in with the help of some great friends.

Saturday, March 16th we went with my best friend Christine to the beach.  Christine had arrived from Utah a couple days before and she just had to get to the beach.  Tough.... I know.  ;)  Off we went to Gataiwai

We joined Vanessa Mackenzie, Ngaire Ho Ching and Melinda Temple along with their kids at $2 Beach on Thursday, March 21st.  It was my first time at $2 Beach since I was a kid.  We got there at 9:30am and stayed until 2:00pm.  Right off the bat the boys caught a crab.  They also played volleyball, jumped off the rocks, swam and just enjoyed each other.  The time just flew while we were there.

Check out the crab.  Don't get too close though, you might get pinched.

Hermit crabs were all over the place too.

Friday night we went to the Market where Christine enjoyed the local food.  The boys found a friend  the minute we got there and hung out with her.  Yes... I said her.  Oh boy

Saturday we had a BBQ Pool Party with Vanessa, Ngaire, Ipo, Lana, Brooke and everyone's kids.  The kids had a blast and swam practically the entire day we were there.  We also had delicious food!

Peek-A-Boo Riley!

Brady is making waves.

Surfs up Alec.

Skyler is all smiles!

Micah is ready for the relay race.

The two men there, Jason and Sefo, hang out.
The ladies visit and prep the food.

These kids were trying to do a synchronized jump.

Skyler gets some air.  Love that face.

I think it ended up being a pretty fun Spring Break for the kids.  It was nice spending time with dear friends and making good memories.  It was an added bonus to get out of the house.  Now it is back to school.

Cub Scout Blue & Gold Banquet

Brady and Micah had a Blue and Gold Banquet for Cub scouts.  This was Brady's first Cub Scout banquet.  Brady was assigned to lead the song and....
Micah was asked to post the colors.
There were a lot of cub scouts there and it was fun to watch their skits and see them interact together.
Of course my other rascals attended and had fun just hanging out with friends and walking around.  It was a nice evening and the boys all enjoyed themselves.

Shake mustache

Check out these shake mustaches.
Skyler and Riley decided to sit outside and enjoy their cool shakes under the shade of our Guava tree on a hot day.  Jealous anyone?
