They made friends with another guest who played Marco Polo and Chicken Fight with.
After a little bit we got all cleaned up and packed and checked out of the hotel. We then walked over to the market so the boys could get a little souvenir. Little is not the right word. They each decided on a war club. Take a look.
Don't worry we promptly hung them up on their walls when we got home. ;)
One last picture outside the hotel and we were off to the airport.
We checked in at the airport and waited for the plane. We tried talking up the plane to Riley and he was fine until we got to the door of the plane. This time I was holding him and he started in again crying and saying, "No, no, no, no, no!" I sat down in the plane and he kept trying to get out of the plane. My Dad had offered him something and Riley kept yelling, "No dank you! No dank you!" Baby talk translation....no thank you. ;) The rest of the passengers looked back, the majority with sympathetic looks. I just held him and again whispered in his ear. "Let's say a prayer." Just as the plane started moving I said a prayer in his ear and again he calmed down immediately. Oh the power of prayer! Riley was fine the rest of the trip.
So we left Fagalii Airport on July 8th and arrived back in Pago July 7th. It was such a wonderfully relaxing trip. It was nice to get away if even for a few day. It was even better spending all that time with each other.
